RouterOS 7.1 RC anunciado

Miedo me esta dando esto... demasiadas RC en tan poco espacio de tiempo... huele mas a dev daily que a una RC.
 
Parece ser que la versión 7.1 saldrá antes de finalizar el año. Ya falta menos.

@pokoyo, esto es lo que ansiabais para dar aceleración por hardware a VPNs cómo WireGuard???
 
No, esto tiene que ver con tener un único bridge y no perder el hardware offloading cuando le metes vlans en local. Por ejemplo, para meter el tráfico de la wifi de invitados sobre una vlan, y no tener que tirarlo en un bridge aparte, hacerlo todo con un único bridge.
Al igual que paso con el switch chip del 4011 y del la RB1100AH, sospecho que los hex y hex-s que corran esta versión, ya no necesitarán quitar el protocol mode = rstp que trae la configuración por defecto, pues sospecho que también será compatible con hardware offloading en este nuevo software.

Si alguien se anima a probarlo, que lo diga y lo verificamos.

WireGuard ya va como un tiro, no sé si le acabarán metiendo aceleración por hardware o si la necesita.

Ojo cuidado, que hablan de canal "testing" no sé si se les ha ido el dedo y la han colado también en la rama estable. En la web, la rama estable sigue apuntando a la 6.49.1, y en el foro oficial hablan de la release 7.1 en testing... De cualquier forma, incluso la rc7 está bastante pulida ya, así que no creo que tarden en moverla a estable.

De cualquier forma, es un regalo muy goloso para el finde del puente, más de uno se va a animar a cacharrear, que lo sé yo.

¿Es un poco caos no? En otros programas que he visto, en la RC ya solo quitan alguna coma, algún error... no se pone y se quita todo un servicio de docker entremedio. Pero bueno, mientras llegue a buen puerto y eso parece :)

Una question. De meter la testing, cuando salga estable tan solo hay que cambiar el canal, aplicar la actualización y no debería de haber ningún problema. Si?

De hecho; si lo haces vía el propio router, ya está en la rama estable. No sé si por una cagada o porque lo han visto tan claro que lo han publicado del tirón. Por lo que he podido leer no han renombrado la rc7 y le han quitado la coletilla, sino que han corregido un número muy importante de cosas pendientes y, directamente, la han pasado a testing. Yo la he puesto en un par de equipos, y de momento bien.

Los de mikrotik son más borricos, y dicen que tienen el 95% de su infraestructura ya en la 7.1
